Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support an outpatient clinic. The CMA will work alongside providers and clinical staff to provide direct patient care and assist with daily clinic operations.
We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support an outpatient clinic. The CMA will work alongside providers and clinical staff to provide direct patient care and assist with daily clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs.
- Collect and document patient medical histories.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
- Assist with injections, immunizations, and other clinical tasks within scope.
- Perform point-of-care testing as required.
- Document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies.
- Assist with scheduling, referrals, and other clinic duties.
- Follow policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- BLS certification.
- Outpatient/clinical experience preferred.
- Experience with patient intake, vital signs, specimen collection, and venipuncture.
- Ability to work effectively with providers, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
Position Details:
- 13-week contract with extension available.
- Nights expected; possible day shifts.
- Credentialing typically takes 4–8 weeks.
- Estimated November/December start.
- Health, dental & vision available at no cost.
- Per diem available for eligible travelers.
